DISCOVER ABOUT US

My name is Misbahu Sadisu, I am a personal finance writer and researcher based in Kaduna State, Nigeria.
As a financial reader and writer as well, I read so many articles that makes me feel painful and sad when I see how developed countries`s economic is growing rapidly but for nigeria and other african countries are going backward in economic and their citizens are suffering from poverty and lost of money due to inflation and lack of marketing strategies.
With this reason I decided to create this platform with every article and tool for 100% free to support and help Nigerian and African countries in financial activities.
Who We Are
FinancialPath started with a simple frustration.
I was tired of searching for personal finance advice online and finding content that assumed I lived in the United States, earned in dollars, and had access to financial systems that simply do not exist for most people in Nigeria and across Africa.
Every budgeting article talked about 401k plans. Every investment guide referenced Vanguard and Fidelity. Every debt calculator used American interest rates. Useful information — but not for me. Not for millions of people navigating inflation at 22%, earning in naira, trying to build savings while supporting extended family, and looking for ways to earn in foreign currency from a Lagos or Abuja laptop.
So I built FinancialPath instead.
The Person Behind This Site
My name is Misbahu Sadisu, I am a personal finance writer and researcher based in Kaduna State, Nigeria.
I am not a certified financial adviser. I do not manage anyone's money professionally. What I am is someone who spent years learning — sometimes painfully — how money actually works for people in our context. How to protect savings from naira devaluation. How to earn in dollars while living in Nigeria. How to build an emergency fund when extended family obligations compete with personal savings goals. How to invest on platforms like Bamboo and Risevest when the global guides assume you have a US brokerage account.
I started FinancialPath in June 2026 because I believed there was room for a personal finance resource that speaks directly to Nigerian and African readers — while also being genuinely useful to anyone around the world dealing with inflation, tight budgets, debt, and the desire to build something better with their money.
What You Will Find on FinancialPath
FinancialPath is built around three things:
Honest, practical articles written in plain English — no jargon, no academic language, no content that exists just to fill a page. Every article on this site is written to answer a real question that real people are searching for, with specific numbers, real examples, and actionable steps you can take today.
Free financial tools and calculators built specifically for our audience. Our Income Planner, Compound Interest Calculator, Debt Paydown Calculator, Savings Calibration Calculator, Inflation Calculator, Budgeting Calculator, and Multi-Platform Income Tracker are all completely free to use — no signup required, no data collected, no hidden fees. They work in 30 currencies including the Nigerian Naira, Indian Rupee, British Pound, Ghanaian Cedi, Kenyan Shilling, and more.
Nigerian and global context in every piece of content. We cover global personal finance news and trends — but we always connect them back to what they mean for someone earning in naira, dealing with 22% inflation, and trying to build wealth in an environment where the financial rules are genuinely different from what most personal finance content assumes.
What FinancialPath Covers
Our content spans every major area of personal finance:
Budgeting and cash flow management — how to build a budget that actually works, how to track spending, how to make your income cover more than it currently does.
Saving and emergency funds — how much to save, where to keep it, how to protect savings from inflation, and how to build an emergency fund even when money feels tight.
Debt management — how to pay off debt faster, which debts to prioritise, how to avoid the debt traps that are becoming increasingly common in 2026.
Investing — how compound interest works, how to start investing on Nigerian and global platforms, what assets protect against inflation, and how to build wealth over the long term on any income.
Side income — how to earn extra money in 2026, which platforms work from Nigeria, how to earn in foreign currency, and how to build income streams that do not depend entirely on a single employer.
Economic news that affects your money — inflation updates, interest rate decisions, Nigerian financial market news, global events that impact your purchasing power and investment returns.
Our Commitment to You
Everything on FinancialPath is free. We will never charge you to read an article, use a calculator, or access any tool on this site.
We are committed to being honest — including about things we do not know. Personal finance involves uncertainty, and any site that pretends otherwise is not being straight with you. We present information as clearly and accurately as possible, always note when something is an estimate or a projection rather than a guarantee, and always recommend seeking professional advice for significant financial decisions.
We do not receive payment from any financial institution, investment platform, or product provider to feature them on this site. When we mention a platform like Bamboo, Risevest, PiggyVest, or Grey, it is because we believe it is genuinely useful for our readers — not because we have been paid to say so.
A Note on Financial Advice
FinancialPath is an educational resource — not a financial advisory service. Nothing on this site constitutes personalised financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. The articles, tools, and calculators here are designed to inform and educate — to help you ask better questions and make more informed decisions — but they should not replace advice from a qualified financial professional who understands your specific circumstances.
Every financial situation is different. What works for one person may not work for another. Use the information and tools on FinancialPath as a starting point for your financial education — not as the final word on any financial decision.
